Each member has a rank assigned to them, which determines what they can and can't do to the Dictionary.

mortal

This is where you start after you register. Mortals cannot write entries in raw HTML, and cannot touch anyone else's entries.

prophet

Despite its seemingly forboding name, thisrank is easy to get - all you have to do is do something to show that you're not a vandalist. Members with this rank can write entries in HTML, and do whatever they want with other people's entries - but if you do, please be fair!

god

Now this one is damn hard to achieve. At the time of this writing, the only person that has this rank is me. All I can do that others can't is change people's profiles. That includes changing ranks, changing passwords and disabling accounts. <grin>

Trust me, I will not abuse the privelige. The Ability to disable accounts is necessary so that evil people can be prevented from defacing the Dictionary. I currently have no plans to give anyone else this rank, but it may be necessary if this project becomes too much for me to handle.

Hopefully that will happen one day. :)
