POVRay Stuff

All of the raytraced images you see here were created with Persistence of Vision, an OSS raytracer. I've always had a fascination with raytracers and the amazingly realistic images you can produce with them. Of course these days you can do more with blender et al, but the geek in me likes to do things in text files.

These date back to when I was studying at UWS. Some time after these I decided to write my own raytracer. The sources to these can be found in my source repository.

This is the result of a challenge from a friend at uni many years ago. Some simple CSG with a not-quite-plain texture.

My attempt at a cartoony logo. I was so proud of this image that I used it as the background to my web site and laptop, and it remains on both to this day.

This is a replica of my keyboard as of 1999 or so, done in pure povray (no modellers), except for the label surrounding the LEDs.

Man I had too much spare time back then.

Here is a small video of it rotating.
